On July 16, the Changzhou Youth Art Gallery was officially inaugurated and opened to the public, marking an expansion and quality upgrade of the city's youth aesthetic education facilities. Located on the second floor of Building 1 of the Changzhou Youth Activity Center, the gallery serves as an important platform bridging in-school art classes and off-campus practical activities.
The venue will serve three major aesthetic education functions. First, it will regularly exhibit artworks such as calligraphy, paintings, handicrafts, and photography created by primary and secondary school students across the city, providing a dedicated stage for young people to showcase their talent. Second, leveraging its exhibition resources, it will continuously offer free classes, master lectures, intangible cultural heritage workshops, art study tours, and other activities, bridging in-school and out-of-school aesthetic education channels and improving the integrated art education system. Third, building on the distinctive Changzhou Calligraphy Education program, it will serve as a window for international and intercultural youth art exchanges, enhance the brand of Changzhou's primary and secondary school calligraphy education, and carry forward the traditional Chinese calligraphy culture.
On the same day, the 2026 Changzhou Calligraphy Exhibition for Primary and Secondary School Students opened. The exhibition showcased a curated selection of outstanding calligraphy works by students from across the city, fully demonstrating the solid achievements of popular calligraphy education in Changzhou's primary and secondary schools.
