The China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association have released the latest China Top 500 Enterprises list, with three private enterprises from Changzhou making the ranking:

• Zenith Steel Group Co., Ltd. (No. 168)

• Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (No. 308)

• Eastran Group Co., Ltd. (No. 310)

This year’s Top 500 enterprises demonstrated robust innovation capabilities, investing a total of 1.73 trillion yuan in R&D and holding over 2.24 million valid patents, with invention patents accounting for an increasing proportion — reflecting steady improvement in patent quality. Against this backdrop, Changzhou enterprises stood out with their technological achievements and global competitiveness.

Zenith Steel Group has significantly increased investment in R&D and “intelligent transformation and digital upgrading,” earning 28 scientific and technological awards at various levels. Seventeen of its achievements have reached the international standard, including seven rated as “world-leading.”

Trina Solar, China’s first full industrial-chain solar and energy storage company listed on the STAR Market, has broken 35 world records in photovoltaic technology. The company ranks first globally in perovskite solar cell patents and led the world in patent applications and authorizations in 2024. It also took the lead in proposing IEC international standards for solar technology.

Eastran Group adheres to an innovation-driven development strategy, focusing on high-end product R&D and refined management. It aims to become a “single champion” or “specialized supporting expert” within its market niche. The company has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a National Green Factory, underscoring its strength in sustainable and specialized manufacturing.
