On June 2, officials from Bazhong, Sichuan province came to Changzhou to launch a city promotional campaign.

During the event, officials introduced the 2026 China Dragon Boat Race to be held in Bazhong City from June 18 to June 19. The China Dragon Boat Race, a national A-level boat race, has been held in Bazhong for three consecutive years, as the city has sound water conditions and abundant experience. Dragon Boat IP has become a brand in Bazhong's cultural tourism. In addition, the officials also introduced the local cultural tourism resources and investment opportunities.

According to Bazhong officials, this year's dragon boat race focuses on the participation of the public and has been fully upgraded. There are eight competition categories in total, attracting 60 teams and over 1500 athletes. Meanwhile, fifteen specialized activities will be carried out to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, including light shows, performances and boat trips.

"We sincerely welcome Changzhou residents and Bazhongers who work in Changzhou to come to our city to enjoy the boat race, experiencing the traditional culture and lively vibe of Bazhong." at the promotion campaign, Yu Ting, deputy director of the Sports and Tourism Bureau of Enyang District, Bazhong, sent an invitation to all the audience.

In recent years, many residents from Bazhong have come to Changzhou to making a living here. The two cities have established close ties and carried out frequent cultural exchanges.
