On the morning of May 14, the recruitment campaign for returned overseas students kicked off in the High-Speed Rail New Town in the CND. Deputy mayor Fang Jing attended the event.
Jointly hosted by the Service Center for Overseas Students and Experts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Expert Steering Committee on Entrepreneurship of Returned Overseas Students, and the Changzhou Municipal Government, and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the event aims to bring together overseas innovation resources and inspire returned overseas students to pursue entrepreneurship and innovation in China.
At the event, 513 job openings were available from 92 major companies, 79 postdoctoral research stations, and 10 public institutions in Changzhou. More than 60 percent of these positions were designated specifically for master's and doctoral graduates, spanning key industries such as new energy, advanced equipment manufacturing, and bio-medicine.
To enhance the city's global visibility, overseas student representatives from nine countries — including the Netherlands, France, Russia, Australia, South Korea, and the United Kingdom — were named "Changzhou City Promotion Ambassadors." Additionally, representatives of returned overseas talent shared their firsthand experiences of starting businesses and pursuing careers in Changzhou.
The event is scheduled to continue through May 17. Over the course of the program, 46 overseas doctoral graduates from universities ranked within the top 150 globally by QS, along with 63 recipients of high-level talent programs, will take part in two flagship components — the Entrepreneurship Training Camp and the "Overseas Students Serving the Nation" initiative. Activities will include expert-led seminars, project pitch sessions, corporate networking events, and immersive city tours.
