A Swedish high-performance industrial reinforcement fiber project will be established in the Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park (SGIP), marking the latest foreign investment in the park.

The project is backed by AB Svenskt Konstsilke (SKS), a Swedish industrial group founded in 1918. The company operates 11 production facilities worldwide and supplies high-performance industrial reinforcement fibers used in applications ranging from automotive tires and rubber products to industrial transmission belts, pipelines and cables.

To support capacity expansion and meet higher production standards, the group has decided to relocate all of its China operations to Jintan district in Changzhou.

According to Lyu Linke, chief operating officer of SKS High Performance Yarn (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., Jintan offers clear locational advantages as well as a strong, service-oriented approach to investment facilitation. He added that the presence of companies such as Zhongce Rubber Group in the region closely aligns with the company’s core business. The new project plans to lease approximately 14,000 square meters of factory space and will be developed in two phases. Once fully operational, the Jintan facility is expected to become the SKS Group’s largest production base globally.

Going forward, Jintan will continue to provide comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle, creating a favorable environment for enterprises to invest with confidence and pursue long-term development.
