As the International Children's Day is drawing near, the Changzhou Charity Federation launched the "Under the Same Sky" event to visit orphans and children with disabilities, extending warmth and care to children with special needs.
During the visits to orphans, the Federation workers had in-depth conversations with their guardians, to better understand the difficulties they face in daily life and provided them with care allowances. At the homes of children with special needs, the staff offered words of encouragement to their parents, noting that love, companionship and optimism are vital to the children's growth. The staff also pledged to continue following up on their needs and improve a long-term care mechanism.
For two decades in a row, the Changzhou government has conducted the "Under the Same Sky" charity program for children. As of date, it has supported a total of 9,528 orphans and disabled children, granting 17.63 million yuan in financial assistance. This has alleviated financial pressure for many families, providing them with a strong safety net.
