On March 10, Wab Machinery (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. held its groundbreaking ceremony, marking the first "land-permit-ready" project in the Changzhou National High-tech District for the Year of the Horse. Once the project reaches its full production capacity, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 80 million yuan.

The WAB Group, founded in Switzerland in 1933, is a global leader in the field of horizontal grinding mills and three-dimensional mixers, having produced the world's first horizontal grinding mill. Its products are widely used in industries such as coatings, inks, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, food, cosmetics, and biotechnology.

Wab Machinery (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. aims to establish the WAB Group's China headquarters. The project occupies a site of over 6,600 square meters and will feature a new factory equipped with a high-end laboratory, as well as facilities for assembly, after-sales service, and warehousing. The facility will primarily produce high-end grinding equipment, including horizontal grinding mills, three-dimensional mixers, and flow chemical reactors. The construction period is expected to last nine months, with production scheduled to begin next year.

On the day of the groundbreaking ceremony, a "time capsule" was buried underground as a key symbolic cornerstone. Inside the capsule, along with commemorative items from the project's various stakeholders, was a copy of the March 10th edition of the Changzhou Daily.

"Changzhou has shown us its wholehearted support and an open, inclusive atmosphere. Many of our clients and suppliers are also located here, so from the very early stages of the project, our choice of Changzhou was firm," said Erich Emmer, CEO of the WAB Group.
