On May 14, a symposium with heads of overseas Chinese students and scholars federations was held in Changzhou. Ten leaders of Chinese students and scholars federations from North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and other regions gathered together to engage in in-depth discussions and offer suggestions regarding the concerns and needs of overseas students, as well as Changzhou's initiatives to attract and retain talent. The participants shared their aspirations to serve the motherland and explored opportunities for cooperation and development. Tong Jian, Director of the Organization Department, attended the event.

During the symposium, the ten heads of overseas students and scholars federations, drawing on their firsthand study and living experiences abroad, shared the genuine concerns of overseas Chinese students in areas such as career platforms, development opportunities, living amenities, and policy support. They also put forward practical suggestions regarding the promotion of Changzhou as a city, the optimization of its talent policies, and the expansion of talent recruitment channels. Representatives from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and the Xinbei District government responded to each point on-site and engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues of concern to the students.

Director Tong welcomed talented individuals from around the world to choose Changzhou as their home, and put down roots in the city. He encouraged them to become partners in the city's development, promoters of its innovation ecosystem, and advocates for attracting talent to the city, working hand in hand with Changzhou to create a shared future. He stated that Changzhou will always offer the greatest sincerity, the best policies, and the highest quality services to help talent achieve their dreams and realize their value.
