As summer vacation begins, a vibrant and colorful array of holiday activities awaits. According to the Municipal Social Etiquette Office, the 2026 Changzhou "Colorful Summer" off-campus activity program has officially been launched. Featuring over a thousand newly released activities centered around themes such as revolutionary-themed study tours, volunteer services, intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, labor practices, psychological counseling, public-interest summer childcare, and legal safety education, the program invites young people across the city to join in and experience a summer full of energy and enrichment.
This year's program integrates over 100 venues across the city, including centers for cultural and ethical practice, patriotic education bases, museums, libraries, art galleries, and more, offering nearly 100 municipal-level activities and close to 1,000 district-level events. For example, the Changzhou Museum has launched a "Working at Changzhou Museum" vocational experience camp, guiding young participants to explore the city's history and culture through museum services. The City Park Management Center will offer 20 "Science Lessons in the Park" sessions, inviting students to get close to nature and expand their knowledge. The Municipal Social Etiquette Office has also coordinated with various communities to open public-interest summer childcare classes, providing care taking, homework tutoring, and special-interest courses, easing the worries of dual-earner families. Students can visit various venues to experience featured activities, or sign up for community summer camps right at their doorstep, fully enjoying a vacation life beyond the textbooks.
The activities are open to all primary and secondary school students across the city. For specific schedules and contact information, please follow the Changzhou Publicity WeChat official account and search for "Colorful Summer" to access the relevant posts.
