The Changzhou Technology Managers Association was officially established at Changzhou Science and Education Town, marking a new step in strengthening the city’s innovation ecosystem. The association brings together a wide range of stakeholders — including industry-university collaboration platforms, universities and research institutes, technology transfer organizations, and industrial technology enterprises — to effectively integrate research, industry, and talent resources and provide multidimensional support for innovation.
At its inaugural general meeting, members reviewed and approved the Articles of Association of the Changzhou Technology Managers Association and elected the first board of directors and supervisors. Chen Qiang, Director of the Changzhou–Nanjing University Institute of Advanced Technology, was elected as the association’s first president. The association also appointed a group of senior experts as senior advisers, along with nine consultants from universities, research institutions, and the business community.
Technology managers serve as the vital link in transforming “papers into products, patents into industries, and ideas into reality.” Moving forward, the association will focus on building collaborative platforms that connect universities, research institutes, and enterprises, to accelerate the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. It will also promote collaboration among members and encourage cross-regional exchange and cooperation, working collectively to open a new chapter in Changzhou’s technology transfer and innovation commercialization efforts.
