On January 25, the Changzhou Association of Taiwan Enterprises held its ninth membership conference, electing a new leadership team and board members. A networking event was also organized, bringing together representatives from Taiwan businesses and enterprises in the city to discuss development plans. Guo Yuzhen, Deputy Director of the Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, and Yang Fen, Member of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, attended the event.
During the event, the Changzhou Taiwan Business Charity Fund was established. The fund will primarily be used for charitable assistance, educational support, and cross-strait exchanges and interactions.
The conference expressed hope that the new association leadership would further strengthen service awareness, improve service efficiency, continuously deepen government-enterprise coordination, and actively build exchange platforms, so as to establish the association as a "home for Taiwan enterprises" with greater cohesion, influence, and effectiveness. It also called on Taiwan compatriots and enterprises to deeply integrate into Changzhou's development landscape during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, focus on key areas such as new energy, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence, and actively participate in strengthening, supplementing, and extending industrial chains, jointly fostering new quality productive forces. The municipal Party committee and the Changzhou government will continue to optimize the business environment, and provide better services and stronger guarantees for Taiwan compatriots and enterprises investing, working, and living in Changzhou.
The City of Changzhou achieved positive results in utilizing Taiwan investment last year, with 48 new Taiwan-invested projects established across the city. The contracted registered Taiwan capital amounted to 49.069 million U.S. dollars, and the actual utilized Taiwan capital reached 125 million U.S. dollars.
