As one of the 10 most important industrial chains of Changzhou, the smart grid industry has broad prospects for development. At the Seminar on the Construction of Smart Grid Industrial Chain hosted by Changzhou Municipal Government, it was learned that over the past three years, the average annual growth of the city's above-scale industrial output value reached 17%, expecting to achieve 100-billion output in 2015.

    Some of the city's smart grid companies have reached the international advanced level in products and technology, such as the 800-KV and 1000-KV UHV transformer produced by Changzhou Xidian, the AP1000 containment cable and Amkor EHV cable accessories supplied by Shangshang Cable, etc.
