On November 20, Pan Dongling, Vice Mayor of Changzhou, met with Ms. Marie Gabriella Rimena Batour, mayor of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill from Mauritius, in the government building. The two sides discussed how to advance sister-city cooperation.
In the two decades since Changzhou and Beau Bassin-Rose Hill became sister cities, the two sides have carried out extensive cooperation across various fields, including industry, culture, education and tourism. Previously, the Mauritian sister city signed MOUs with Changzhou University and Changzhou Institute of Technology, under which both institutions have welcomed exchange students from Mauritius.
During the meeting, both sides expressed commitment to enhance mutual understanding and friendship. In the future, more cooperation projects will be carried out to promote sister-city relations to a new height.
During their stay in Changzhou, the sister city delegation also visited several well-known companies including Trina Solar.
