On February 18, Dr. Corey Thompson, CEO of WattGlass, Arkansas, USA, and his delegation visited Changzhou and discussed cooperation in the photovoltaic industry.
Shen Lian, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, met with the delegation at the Administration Center. He briefed the delegation on the economic and social development of Changzhou, especially the city’s photovoltaic industry. Dr. Thompson said that WattGlass has great potential for cooperation with the city’s PV companies and hopes to expand its business through such cooperation with Changzhou.
Dr. Corey Thompson graduated in December 2014 from the University of Arkansas with a Ph.D. in Microelectronics and Photonics with a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship. After graduation, he established WattGlass to commercialize a novel antireflective and self-cleaning glass coating technology that was developed and patented during his Ph.D. research. He has led WattGlass through the raising of more than $3M in non-dilutive capital and a Series-A venture capital investment.
