On July 1, the 2026 Sino-Europe Robotics Industry Collaboration Conference kicked off in Changzhou. Jointly organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce and the Changzhou Municipal Government, the event brought together business and government representatives in the robotics industry, building a bridge between technologies, industries and capital. The event will help to strengthen and upgrade the robotics cluster in Changzhou.
At present, global robotics is transforming from the traditional scenario of industrial manufacturing to all-secor empowerment, with applications in medical health, services and special working environment. Moreover, embodied intelligence opens up a full new space for human-machine collaboration. The conference, with a focus on scaled-up application, aims to promote the efficient docking between European technologies and the local industrial ecosystems, so as to commercialize more cooperation fruits.
In the robotics sector, after years of tremendous effort, Changzhou has established a complete ecosystem, covering key-components productions, whole machine manufacturing and system integration. The city has become a key driving force of the robotics sector in the Yangtze River Delta region. Collaborative robotic giants such as AUBO and JAKA are based in the city, while global leading companies including Yaskawa have taken root here. A number of "hidden champions" that have broken the international monopoly in the fields of RV reducers, harmonic reducers, and six-dimensional force sensors continue to emerge.
In April this year, AGIBOT, a domestic leader in embodied intelligence, established its presence in Changzhou. In 2025, the output value of the robotics sector in Changzhou exceeded 40 billion yuan, with the output of industrial robot cluster in Wujin District alone standing at 27.27 billion yuan.
During the conference, over ten companies from home and abroad made their demo, presenting the audience with frontier technologies such as embodied intelligence, precision transmission and visual testing.
Later in the afternoon, guests from the Europe visited key enterprises in Changzhou (Qianjing Rehabilitation, JAKA, Li Auto) and the embodied intelligence experience center. They got to learn about Changzhou’s competitive strengths of the robotics and new energy sectors in a vivid way.
"Europe boasts advantages in core algorithms and precision components, while Changzhou has abundant application scenarios and complete supporting sectors. The two sides have vast opportunities for cooperation." according to Tang Song, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce.
Looking forward, the conference will promote the deep integration between European advanced technologies and the industrial sectors in Changzhou, attract more innovation resources to the city, and accelerate to build it into an AI powerhouse in the Yangtze River Delta.
