Recently, the severe flooding across multiple areas in Guangxi has left affected residents in urgent need of shelter and daily necessities, a situation that has deeply moved the people of Changzhou. The Changzhou Charity Federation immediately activated its emergency response mechanism upon learning of the disaster. While launching a special donation channel to the public to pool charitable funds, the federation also reached out to local charitable organizations in Guangxi to assess on-the-ground needs. Relief supplies have been coordinated and dispatched with a focus on essential categories including temporary shelter, daily living provisions, and post-disaster disinfection for affected communities.
As of date, the Changzhou Charity Federation has urgently procured a batch of emergency relief supplies valued at 698,130 yuan, covering a wide range of categories including disinfection and protective supplies, heatstroke prevention medications, bedding, toiletries and sanitary items, life-saving emergency equipment, as well as rice, cooking oil, instant food products, and more. Two 13.5-meter heavy-duty trucks have been arranged to transport the goods, traveling over a thousand kilometers to deliver aid to the flood-affected areas in Guangxi.
Upon arrival, the supplies will be primarily used to support the daily living needs of displaced residents in temporary shelters and to facilitate rescue and relief operations on the ground. The aid is expected to significantly alleviate the critical shortage of materials in the affected areas, help ensure the smooth operation of evacuation centers, and maintain the orderly progress of frontline emergency response efforts. Through these concrete actions, the Changzhou Charity Federation demonstrates the profound spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance—embodying the belief that "when disaster struck, help came from all sides."
