On June 25, Japanese specialty steel manufacturer F&C Holdings Co., Ltd. officially launched construction of its first production base in China in Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND). The project is expected to strengthen the region's advanced materials sector, accelerate industrial upgrading and inject fresh momentum into innovation across the Yangtze River Delta.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, F&C Holdings specializes in the development, production and precision processing of high-end specialty steel materials. Its products are widely used in industries including automotive, precision tooling, electronics, aerospace and advanced medical equipment.

With a total investment of more than US$10 million, the new facility will expand local production capacity for high-end precision specialty steel, strengthen the regional advanced materials supply chain, and support the upgrading of downstream industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing and precision engineering.

The project is also expected to enhance the competitiveness of Changzhou's materials sector and reinforce its position as a leading innovation and advanced manufacturing hub for high-end materials in the Yangtze River Delta.
