Changzhou launches public computing power platform to bolster digital economy growth
Font:〖L M S

Recognized as the fundamental infrastructure powering digital economic development and a critical catalyst for societal and economic transformation, computing power stands as a strategic pillar for innovation. The Municipal Data Bureau has officially introduced the city's Public Computing Power Scheduling and Innovation Service Platform, a centralized initiative aimed at integrating computing resources and establishing a pioneering "computing-network integration" service framework.

The platform strengthens Changzhou's "1028" industrial system, which encompasses 10 advanced manufacturing clusters and 28 pivotal industry chains, while supporting the city's three-year action plan to advance intelligent manufacturing upgrades, digital transformation, and industrial connectivity.

Developed and operated by Changzhou Data Technology Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Changzhou Data Group, the platform delivers high-performance intelligent computing resource leasing, mainstream large-model application programming interface (API) services, and other essential offerings. It enables businesses and research institutions to efficiently access critical computational capabilities, including AI model training, inference computation, and high-performance computing (HPC), ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization. These services are poised to accelerate progress in key technological domains such as AI, big data, and smart manufacturing.

The platform is strategically designed to prioritize small and medium-sized enterprises within the "1028" industrial landscape, as well as data-driven industries. Additionally, academic institutions and research organizations are eligible to rent computing power through the platform while benefiting from a government subsidy covering 20 percent of rental costs, with an annual cap of one million yuan.

In its inaugural phase, the platform has incorporated compute nodes from multiple local operators in Changzhou, creating a multi-source computing power supply system to ensure both flexible scheduling and efficient utilization of resources.
