Recently, Zenith Steel Group (Nantong) Co., Ltd. officially broke ground on its near-zero-carbon electric arc furnace (EAF) premium steel project. With a total investment exceeding CNY 3 billion, the project is expected to reach full production in 2026. This marks Zenith Steel's green and low-carbon transition has entered a new stage.
In recent years, Zenith Steel Group has continued to advance its green and low-carbon transformation by implementing large-scale energy-saving, emissions-reduction, and circular-economy initiatives, bringing its energy-efficiency and environmental performance indicators to an advanced level within the industry. The newly launched project will adopt globally leading EAF equipment and advanced processes, supported by an integrated "wind–solar–storage" smart energy system. Upon reaching full capacity, it will establish a demonstrative model of deep integration between green manufacturing and clean energy, providing a replicable and scalable "Zenith model" for regional ecological upgrading and low-carbon transformation.
Since 2020, Zenith Steel Group (Nantong) Co., Ltd. has gradually developed into a major high-end steel production base in the Yangtze River Delta. Its products have been widely used in a number of landmark projects, including the Shanghai Tower, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, and the Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant, and have been deeply integrated into strategic projects across international supply chains. By pursuing the integrated development of "digital platforms, intelligent systems, and automated equipment," the company has established an industry-leading digital control center, enabling remote operations, intelligent decision-making, and lean management.
According to Dong Liyuan, Vice President of Zenith Steel Group and General Manager of the Nantong company, Zenith Steel will remain committed to its core business to strengthen the real economy. The group aims to build a globally competitive, high-end, green port-adjacent steel industrial park and to accelerate the development of a world-class integrated steel conglomerate.
