On Sept 1, Li Baiping, Party chief of Changzhou, met with a delegation led by Sanjay Sharma, vice president of ArcelorMittal Group and CEO of ArcelorMittal China. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on advancing the construction of ArcelorMittal’s new-energy soft magnetic materials project and further deepening their cooperation.
Li Baiping welcomed the delegation to Changzhou and expressed his appreciation for ArcelorMittal's long-standing trust in and investment in the city. As a global leader in the steel and mining industry, ArcelorMittal has established its largest Industry 4.0 benchmark factory and an R&D base in Changzhou, which is of great significance to strengthening the city's new-energy industry chain and enhancing its core industrial competitiveness. Li expressed his sincere hope that ArcelorMittal will continue to deepen its presence in Changzhou, putting down roots in the city and bringing more new technologies, business models and products to Changzhou. The CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Changzhou Municipal Government will, as always, provide strong support and high-quality services, doing their utmost to ensure the company's continued growth and success in the city.
