On January 30, an electric vehicle EMC filter project with a planned total investment of RMB 300 million was signed in Zhixi town, Jintan district. Targeting a core segment of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry, the project is expected to further strengthen the local industrial ecosystem.
The project will focus on the research, development, manufacturing and sales of EMC filter components for electric vehicle motor controllers and battery management systems, high-voltage onboard electronic transformers, as well as magnetic materials including amorphous and nanocrystalline magnetic cores. Its products are widely applied in NEVs, high-speed rail, solar and wind power generation, and humanoid robotics. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of around RMB 500 million.
The investor, Nock-ten Electronic Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., has long specialized in electronic technologies and has strong capabilities in EMC solutions. It is among the early suppliers of nanocrystalline magnetic cores to the automotive sector. The company has established partnerships with more than 10 domestic and overseas NEV manufacturers, as well as multiple key component producers, leading material suppliers, and testing institutions in China and abroad.
The project closely aligns with Zhixi’s industrial focus on NEV components, intelligent manufacturing and clean energy, marking a tangible outcome of its efforts to strengthen industrial-chain investment and promote industrial upgrading. Local authorities said the town will continue to advance a streamlined, service-oriented approach, providing comprehensive support to facilitate the project’s early construction and operation.
