On November 11th, a delegation from Chikujyo Town, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan visited Jintan District for friendly exchanges.

The two sides signed a Letter of Intent to establish sister city relationship between  Chikujyo and Jintan. Jintan District leaders Wang Yanhong and Liu Mingjiang participated in the event.

Chikujyo is a town located in Chikujyo District, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The town has a total area of 119.34 km², with an estimated population of 21,441. In 2008, Jintan and Chikujyo started to carry out friendly exchanges. In 2011, Xuebu Central Elementary School and  Chikujyo Elementary School established sister-school relationship.

Over the years, Jintan and Chikujyo has carried out extensive exchanges and cooperation in agriculture, education and other areas. In order to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, Jintan and Chikujyo signed a Letter of Intent to establish sister city relationship.
