Applications for Jiangsu’s one-off job-seeking subsidy for 2027 graduates will open on Sept. 1. Eligible graduates facing financial difficulties can receive RMB 1,500, regardless of their household registration.

The subsidy is available to full-time students in their final year of study who are actively seeking employment and enrolled at regular higher education institutions, technical schools, secondary vocational schools, or vocational programs at special education institutions in Jiangsu province.

Eligible graduates include those who receive the minimum living allowance; those from households with no employed members or rural households with no members who have transferred to non-agricultural employment; orphans and children without a legal guardian who have continued to receive basic living allowances from civil affairs authorities through their final year of study; persons with certified disabilities; graduates who received a national student loan during their final year of study; and recipients of special hardship assistance.

Graduates who meet more than one of these conditions may apply under only one category. Each graduate may receive the subsidy only once.

The subsidy will be paid at a rate of RMB 1,500 per person and transferred to the graduate’s Jiangsu Social Security Card. Applicants should make sure that the card’s financial services function is activated before submitting an application. Otherwise, the payment cannot be made to the card.

Eligible graduates can apply through the Online Service Hall of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security or the Jiangsu Smart HR and Social Security app. Applications will be accepted during two periods: Sept. 1–30, 2026, and May 1–31, 2027.

Graduates who do not yet have a Jiangsu Social Security Card are advised to apply for one as soon as possible at a designated bank branch. Nearby Social Security Card service locations can be found through the Jiangsu Smart HR and Social Security app, the electronic Social Security Card mini program on Alipay, or the website of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
