In an effort to foster a social climate that values education and respects teachers, and to address practical concerns for the teaching community, on July 16, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, in collaboration with the Municipal Housing Rental Association, launched a special housing benefit program for certified teachers across the city. The initiative will run from the date of announcement through the end of September 2026, offering dedicated talent apartments with preferential terms exclusively for educators.
The program brings together 30 talent apartment projects across the city, covering all districts and county-level cities, to provide teachers with a diverse range of housing options. During the campaign period, teachers who present their valid teacher qualification certificate or China Teacher e-Work Card upon check-in are eligible for a 10% discount off the current rental rates of the participating projects. The discount is strictly for personal use by the qualified teacher (who may be accompanied by family members) and is non-transferable. All participating projects have simultaneously strengthened their reception and service support to ensure that teachers can "move in upon arrival and live comfortably."
Going forward, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau will continue to focus on the housing needs of key groups including new citizens and young talent, steadily improve the supply and services of talent apartments, and take more concrete measures to help talent of all categories to settle down and thrive in Changzhou.
