E-commerce and Live Streaming Drive Surge in Online Consumption
Digital retail has continued to reshape the consumer landscape. With traditional commercial enterprises embracing transformation and the rapid adoption of livestream e-commerce, online sales surged. The district’s online retail sales grew 136.9% year-on-year, now accounting for 24.4% of total retail sales above designated size, and contributing a 15.6 percentage point uplift to overall growth.
NEV Sales Maintain Strong Momentum
Thanks to advances in technology, favourable government policies, and persistently high fuel prices, new energy vehicles (NEVs) remained a key growth engine. NEV retail sales rose 101.5% year-on-year, driving an 11.3 percentage point increase in the district’s total retail sales above designated size.
