The Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology has announced the 2025 roster of provincial science communication experts, with six professionals from Changzhou making the list — the second-highest number of selections across the province.
The Changzhou representatives include: Lei Zhengcui, Secretary-General of the Changzhou Meteorological Society; Wang Yan, Deputy Director of the Public Engagement Department at Changzhou Museum; Xiang Shoukui, Deputy Director of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department at Changzhou First People's Hospital; Ji Mingjun, lecturer at Changzhou Institute of Information Technology; Zhang Yu, Deputy Director of the Trauma Centre at Changzhou Second People's Hospital; and Zhou Hua, Chief Physician at the Health Education Department of Changzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital.
The cohort reflects both leading researchers at the cutting edge of their fields and practitioners with extensive experience in public science engagement. Through lectures, new media platforms and the development of science popularisation bases, they have worked to bring science closer to the public — particularly young people — while promoting scientific literacy and spirit.
The Changzhou Association for Science and Technology said it would use this recognition as an opportunity to amplify the influence of these experts, encouraging them to focus on public concerns, produce high-quality outreach content, and inject fresh momentum into the city's efforts to improve scientific literacy across society.
