Changzhou Airport has officially resumed its direct all-cargo air route to Dhaka, Bangladesh, reopening an efficient and convenient air logistics channel for local enterprises to expand import and export trade with South Asia.
The resumed flight was operated by Jiangsu JD Cargo Airlines. Incoming cargo included 6.09 tonnes of live mud crabs from Dhaka, while outbound shipments totaled 17.95 tonnes of high-quality “Created in Changzhou” products, including textile fabric rolls, electronic components, and auto parts.
To ensure the smooth and efficient resumption of the route, Changzhou Airport and the city’s border inspection authority formulated detailed support plans in advance, comprehensively optimizing procedures such as cargo clearance and apron operations. Changzhou Customs implemented an expedited “inspection upon arrival” clearance mechanism, significantly improving ground-handling efficiency, while logistics enterprises provided precise end-to-end tracking services, enabling close coordination across all stages of operation.
The resumption of the Changzhou–Dhaka all-cargo route has further expanded the city’s international air freight network and strengthened logistics links with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Going forward, Changzhou Airport will continue to enhance port service functions and focus on building stable and efficient international logistics channels, providing sustained momentum for the high-quality development of Changzhou’s open economy and that of the broader Yangtze River Delta region.
