Italy's Main Tech S.r.l. signed an investment agreement with Jintan Hua Luogeng High-Tech Industrial Development Zone to establish its first Chinese production facility, marking a new milestone in Sino-Italian industrial cooperation.
Headquartered in Padua since 2003, Main Tech specializes in designing and manufacturing automated systems for bulk material handling across plastics, food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. The company develops customized solutions including storage silos, pneumatic conveying systems, and process control equipment for material drying, dosing and blending - with particular expertise in PVC extrusion and recycling applications.
The new composite material systems project will be located at Sino-Italian (Changzhou) Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, serving as Main Tech's Asia-Pacific hub. The facility will focus on R&D and production of auxiliary equipment for granular/powdered material handling, targeting sectors where the company holds recognized technical leadership.
The investment coincides with accelerating Italian industrial clustering in Jintan district, joining established players like Pietro Fiorentini, Spanesi, and Vigel. With simultaneous entries by the Italy Chamber of Commerce and Italian Food & Feed Export Promotion Association, the district is emerging as a hot investment destination for Italian companies in China.
Jintan, positioned in the Yangtze River Delta economic belt, has attracted nine Italian industrial enterprises to date through its specialized supply chain networks and business services. The local government anticipates further strengthening industrial complementarity to drive high-quality economic development and bolster international cooperation.
