From July 29 to 31, Franck Adjagba, ambassador of the Republic of Benin to China, visited Changzhou with a delegation.
On the afternoon of July 29, Vice Mayor Pan Dongling met with the ambassador and his delegation at the Changzhou Municipal Administrative Center. The two sides exchanged views on further expanding economic and trade cooperation.
Pan extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Adjagba and introduced Changzhou’s industrial strengths, particularly its reputation as the “New Energy Capital.” Adjagba noted that Benin is a country full of development opportunities and expressed hope to build bridges of cooperation with Changzhou in areas such as education, culture, tourism, and industry, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
During the visit, the delegation toured Jiangsu Longmem Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Kollter Transportation Technology Co., Ltd., among other enterprises.
Located in south-central West Africa, Benin established a strategic partnership with China in September 2023, and the two countries signed a Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation memorandum.
