Changzhou has a convenient transportation. Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway, Changcheng Expressway, Yanjiang (Changzhou-Suzhou) Expressway, Yangzhou-Liyang Expressway, 312 National Highway and 104 Provincial Highway form the superior transportation network. Opened on March 1986, Changzhou Civil Airport has met international 4D level standard and more than 20 domestic airlines are available now. In addition, Changzhou Station of Beijing-Shanghai Expressway Railway, Changzhou Station of Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway, and urban overhead railway are also a significant addition to Changzhou’s transportation.
　　Changzhou’ public transportation is highly developed. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) opened on January 1, 2008 is the first one in Jiangsu province, which has over 100 bus lines, covering most urban area of Changzhou. A 40% discount of one yuan ticket is applied for citizens using electronic cards to take a bus. Other than Beijing, Changzhou becomes the second city in China implementing discount ticket price for all of the bus routes. (BRT) Line 2 opened on May 1, 2009, as well as BRT Line 1 form the crisscross-shaped BRT system of Changzhou.
