On May 21, the final roadshow of the 5th Central SOE Yixing Innovation and Creative Competition kicked off in Changzhou. It marks the first time the competition has been held in Changzhou since its inception. Li Lin, Executive Deputy Mayor of Changzhou, attended the opening ceremony.
Sponsored by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the competition was jointly organized by the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and China Coal Technology and Engineering Group. With a focus on resource development, the event attracted 156 projects from over 40 central state-owned enterprises (SOEs), universities and research institutes, spanning the fields of mine safety, smart equipment and green engineering, all of which were highly aligned with Changzhou's strategic direction of advancing mid-to-high-end industrial development.
Before the competition unveiled, the SASAC Changzhou subsidiary contacted with the municipal SOEs to identify their needs and made a list of 37 potential matchmaking projects. During the event, the agency organized on-site learning sessions for SOE representatives, expanding more space for project and investment attraction.
The Central SOE Yixing Innovation and Creative Competition is held biennially. Since its launch in 2016, it has accumulated over 12,000 innovation projects and facilitated tech breakthroughs in nearly 500 institutes, contributing to the coordinated development among tens of thousands of small-to-medium-sized enterprises in different sectors.
