Jiangsu province’s "Artificial Intelligence + Intellectual Property" event was held in Changzhou on April 23 to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day. Vice Mayor Xu Jun attended the event.
In recent years, Changzhou has placed great emphasis on intellectual property development and protection. The city currently maintains 52,000 valid invention patents (96.51 per 10,000 residents) and has generated over 29.73 billion yuan in IP-backed financing.
As AI emerges as a key driver of technological and industrial transformation, Changzhou is establishing a "6+X" development framework for future industries centered on AI and embodied intelligence. Municipal authorities are implementing "AI+" applications across diverse sectors while fostering related industries to advance AI integration for enterprise and public benefit.
The event also released reports including the Jiangsu AI Patent Whitepaper and Changzhou Trademark Development Report, while launching an offline IP service platform with six projects as its first cohort.
