The first Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Schools Heritage and Innovation Development Conference was recently held in Nanjing, bringing together representatives from across Jiangsu's TCM schools, renowned TCM experts, scholars, and industry professionals to discuss the inheritance and innovation of TCM schools.

During the conference, the "TCM Schools' Unique Approaches to Disease Treatment" youth forum became the event's focal point. Four teams representing Menghe Medical School, Wumen Medical School, Longsha Medical School, and Chengjiang Acupuncture School engaged in spirited discussions around their respective topics.

Changzhou’s Menghe Medical School team, consisting of Zhang Tao, He Yiting, and Wang Qingxiang from the Cardiology Department of Changzhou TCM Hospital, faced off against the Wumen Medical School team from Suzhou TCM Hospital. Throughout the debate, the Menghe team was thoroughly prepared, displaying clear logic and quick-witted remarks. They offered unique insights, citing classical texts and drawing on extensive examples to counter the opposing arguments. Their sharp and precise arguments earned applause from both the audience and the judges.

After the competition, the judges provided professional feedback on each team’s performance. Experts and scholars gave full recognition to the Menghe Medical School team. Ultimately, the Menghe Medical School team was awarded the "Best Organization Award" for their outstanding performance.
