A company based in the West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park has been selected for a national innovation initiative led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), becoming the only enterprise from Changzhou to make the list.

According to a public notice released recently by MIIT, Changzhou LungHealth Medtech Co., Ltd. was named among the shortlisted entities for the 2025 AI-powered medical device innovation tasks under the open competition mechanism to select the best candidates. This also marks the third company from the park this year to be selected for a national-level innovation task under the same mechanism, underscoring the park’s growing strength in innovation-driven development.

Since settling in the park, LungHealth Medtech has focused on minimally invasive interventional technologies for oncology, building a technology innovation system centered on artificial intelligence. Its self-developed Polaris robotic-assisted bronchoscopic navigation system integrates full-domain perception technologies with multimodal AI algorithms, enabling automatic pre-operative path planning and highly visualized, precise intra-operative navigation.

The system can generate navigation routes in as little as 12 seconds and has been used in more than 1,100 procedures at top-tier hospitals across China. At peak capacity, it has supported up to nine parallel surgeries in a single day. Key performance indicators of the technology have reached internationally advanced levels.

The company’s core products hold full independent intellectual property rights and have obtained EU CE certification, positioning LungHealth Medtech as a benchmark player in China’s flexible surgical robotics segment.

In recent years, the West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park has made AI-powered medical devices a priority development area. Through policy support, resource matchmaking and platform building, the park has continued to improve industrial services and streamline approval processes, creating an efficient and business-friendly environment for enterprises.

To date, the park has attracted a cluster of innovative medical device companies, forming an integrated ecosystem that spans core technology R&D, key component manufacturing and clinical application validation.
