On June 12, five international OPC enterprises signed an agreement to settle in the West Taihu Lake (Changzhou) AI International Community. As the first batch of foreign OPC enterprises in Changzhou, they mark an important step of the city to gather global sci-tech innovation resources, cultivate new-type start-ups, and build an AI industrial ecosystem.

The West Taihu Lake (Changzhou) AI International Community is a municipal key carrier for scientific innovation. Since its launch of operation in 2025, the Community, drawing upon the profound international and industrial elements of the CICP, has focused on how to empower various sectors using AI. Within it, the Puyue OPC International Community, with links to the global innovation network, has introduced premium and lightweight scientific and innovation projects from overseas, offering a one-stop platform for cross-border entrepreneurs.

The newly-signed projects are closely aligned with Changzhou's key industrial sectors, including new energy, IoT, smart agriculture, and precision chemical industry.

Magvolts Energy from the US brings a magnesium-based energy storage project, developing biodegradable magnesium batteries that replace scarce mineral resources such as lithium and cobalt with environmentally friendly materials. The products are compatible with a wide range of low-power devices and enable zero-pollution, green disposal.

According to CHEN IRENE HSU, founder of Magvolts Energy, Changzhou boasts a world-class battery and manufacturing ecosystem, strong industry partners and investment network as well as a supportive environment for international technology companies. All these factors have attracted her to settle the company into the community.

StepX from Armenia has launched a hybrid power-generating tile system that integrates solar and kinetic energy generation technologies. The system can be applied in scenarios such as school campuses and commercial districts, serving both clean energy production and smart city data collection. 

Indonesia-based Taggiot offers a supply chain tracking system powered by smart tags. Using Bluetooth and RFID technologies, it provides full-process cargo monitoring and assists businesses in cost reduction and carbon footprint minimization.

Cadoma, from Brazil, focuses on intelligent aquaculture solutions. With its smart feeding and water quality monitoring systems, the company is advancing the digital transformation of conventional farming methods in the aquaculture sector.

Omnichem from Russia has built an AI-driven chemical B2B platform. Leveraging a massive product database, the platform breaks down information barriers in the chemical industry. The company plans to gradually expand its presence into the BRICS markets.

On the same day the five companies settled in the community, the CICP held the 2026 Changzhou Cross-Border Business Incubation Camp Financial Promotion Seminar, introducing support policies related to talent, finance, and other areas to help the newly established foreign companies operate smoothly.

With a sound ecosystem and multiple robust policies, the international entrepreneurs are full of confidence towards the future of their projects. "We will establish an R&D and manufacturing base in Changzhou, which will serve as a center for production and expansion of the Asia-pacific region while we continue to develop products for smart cities and transportation market." said Gohel Mananmanishbhai, founder of StepX.
