The first "flash charging station" in Changzhou, developed jointly by CND New Energy and BYD, recently began operation at the parking lot north of the Xinbei District Government building. Featuring BYD's second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology, the station offers an ultra-fast charging experience — "ready to go in 5 minutes, fully charged in 9 minutes" — redefining urban energy replenishment efficiency.
BYD officially unveiled its second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology earlier this year, addressing two persistent challenges from the early electrification era: slow charging and poor charging performance in low temperatures.
As Changzhou's first "live and operational" flash charging flagship station, the CND New Energy station has created a closed-loop green energy system integrating photovoltaics, energy storage, and charging. Solar power generated on site is used directly to charge vehicles, with any excess automatically stored in energy storage cabinets. During off-peak periods, the storage cabinets are filled with green electricity, which is then prioritized for discharge during peak hours — enabling 100% efficient utilization of clean energy.
