As emerging sectors such as new energy and new materials are gaining momentum in Jintan District, how to cultivate high-tech supporting sectors and cutting-edge innovation programs has become a key task facing Jintan. In a move to answer this question, on the afternoon of March 24, the district launched the opening ceremony of the Xinnan Digital Intelligence Industrial Park at the International Industry City Zone.

The ceremony witnessed the group signing of cooperation agreements. Four companies intended to settle in the Park while four premium projects, including the development of tannin-engineered electronic medical chest straps for cardiothoracic surgery and a tea polyphenol extraction project, are going to unfold. Another seven projects made their demo at the ceremony, with each representative introducing from multiple perspectives, such as core technologies, market strengths, commercialization routes and financial planning.

The event also facilitated the development of the Overseas Academician Studio (Academician Li Songjun's Studio) and the Changzhou Data Center of the Jiangsu Provincial Industrial Research Institute. Through resource integration and complementary advantages, these initiatives aim to foster a new, mutually beneficial industrial landscape.

Located in Jintan International Industrial City, Jintan Xinnan Digital Intelligence Industrial Park is a comprehensive innovation platform integrating physical space support, incubation and acceleration, technology research and development, data services, exhibition and display, investment services, and education and training. Different from the traditional industrial park model that emphasizes space over services, the Park has been positioned from its inception with a focus on "industry-demand orientation, deep university-district collaboration, and full-cycle service empowerment." It brings together high-quality resources from Nanjing University and other provincial and national universities, state key laboratories, research institutions, and industry associations. By bridging university research teams, technological achievements, and talent resources with Jintan's local industries, the park aims to establish a full-chain innovation ecosystem encompassing "R&D, incubation, acceleration, and commercialization."

In recent years, the Jintan District has consistently prioritized technological innovation as the core of its overall development strategy, continuously building a multi-level, gradient-based, and full-chain matrix of technological innovation platforms. In 2025, the district added a total of five provincial and municipal engineering research centers, 21 provincial and municipal enterprise technology centers, and three joint innovation centers of the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute. The official opening of Jintan Xinnan Digital Intelligence Industrial Park will provide more robust platform support for the incubation of cutting-edge technological innovation projects and the realization of industry-academia-research outcomes, further promoting industrial upgrading and quality enhancement.
