On August 29, Jiangsu SOHO Holdings Group (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was officially inaugurated. Zhou Wei, deputy secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, and Zhou Yong, secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of SOHO Holdings Group, delivered speeches and jointly unveiled the company’s nameplate.
Mayor Zhou extended warm congratulations on the opening of the SOHO Changzhou company. He noted that in recent years, Changzhou has thoroughly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions for Jiangsu, advancing the upgrading of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the planning of future industries in a coordinated way. The city now boasts five industrial clusters each exceeding 100 billion yuan in scale—new energy vehicles and core components, intelligent equipment, new materials, new energy, and advanced power equipment—with the new energy industry moving toward the trillion-yuan level. As a leading enterprise in China’s trade and commerce sector, SOHO Holdings Group has strong capabilities and notable advantages in trade, finance, supply chain, cultural tourism, and healthcare. The two sides have maintained a close and friendly partnership over the years. The launch of SOHO Changzhou is expected to open new opportunities and create a new future for cooperation. Zhou expressed the hope that both sides would take this as a new starting point to further integrate resources, leverage strengths, accelerate the implementation of high-quality projects, and jointly build a model of government–enterprise cooperation and win–win development, contributing fresh strength to Jiangsu’s role as a pillar of the national economy.
Zhou Yong expressed his gratitude to the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, the Municipal Government, and all sectors of society for their support. He noted that SOHO Holdings Group and Changzhou share long-standing ties, a solid foundation, and broad prospects for cooperation. SOHO Changzhou is the Group’s first regional headquarters outside its home base, marking a critical step in optimizing industrial layout and deepening regional collaboration. The Group will make every effort to create a demonstration model of cooperation between provincial state-owned enterprises and local governments, taking practical actions to contribute to Changzhou’s economic and social development. He looked forward to taking the unveiling of the Changzhou company as a new beginning to further deepen exchanges and cooperation, jointly serving national strategies and provincial development.
According to its development plan, SOHO Changzhou will take root in, serve, and integrate with the city. It will focus on building Changzhou into a “Capital of New Energy,” strengthening innovation synergy and project collaboration, and facilitating the introduction of advanced equipment and key technologies. It will also align with the “1028” industrial system, promoting deeper integration along industrial and supply chains to strengthen and expand competitive industries. Furthermore, it will advance the “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” model, helping more SMEs embrace digital transformation and expand into overseas markets, empowering the growth of new foreign trade formats and supporting enterprises in “going global.”
Vice Mayor Pan Dongling, SOHO Holdings’ Vice President Ding Hai, and Municipal Government Secretary-General Zhou Chengtao also attended the event.
