On January 16, Party chief Wang Jianfeng and Mayor Zhou Wei received a delegation from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). The delegation, led by the CPC NUAA Secretary Zhen Liang and Vice Chancellor Jiang Bin, held an in-depth talk with the Changzhou leadership on city-university cooperation.

On behalf of the CPC Municipal Committee and the Changzhou government, Wang Jianfeng and Zhou Wei expressed appreciation for NUAA's long-standing support to Changzhou's development. Since establishing its new campus in Liyang, Changzhou, the NUAA has nurtured a large number of high-level professionals in sci-tech fields, providing strong momentum for the local industry development. Wang hopes that the two sides will further expand cooperation in talent cultivation, development of scientific research platforms and breakthroughs in core technologies. And as always, the Changzhou government will provide the best possible environment for the NUAA to thrive in the city.

According to the NUAA Party Chief and Vice Chancellor, Changzhou boasts a solid industrial foundation and a strong culture of innovation, and its focus on aviation and aerospace sectors aligns closely with the NUAA disciplinary strengths. The university will deepen its cooperation with the city, addressing industrial sticking points, translating more research outcomes into application, and cultivating more talent in future-oriented fields, so as to make more contributions to the local economy.

With frequent exchanges, the city of Changzhou and the NUAA has a strong foundation for cooperation, and have jointly advanced multiple initiatives in technology research, and innovation platform development. Since the Tianmu Lake Campus in Liyang was put into use, the NUAA has trained more than 17,600 professionals across various fields. At the same time, the university has introduced high-quality industrial and innovation resources to the city, including AutoFlight, AVIC ARI, etc. It has also launched a low-altitude flying service center in Liyang.
