From January to October, Changzhou's foreign trade reached 305.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent. Trade with ASEAN countries was particularly strong, totaling 54.66 billion yuan—up 31.6 percent—and contributing more than 30 percent to the city's overall foreign trade growth.
To support the export expansion of high-tech products, Changzhou Customs has closely followed industry trends and rolled out services such as "policy outreach by the Customs head" and and a streamlined mechanism to resolve enterprise concerns promptly. These efforts include providing precise policy updates, shortening clearance times, and leveraging the city’s research and evaluation base for technical barriers to trade (TBT) in new-energy vehicle batteries to help enterprises stay informed of the latest international technical requirements, enabling more "Made in Changzhou" products to enter global markets.
During the first ten months, Changzhou's trade with the EU totaled 60.97 billion yuan, up 18.5 percent year-on-year. Trade with Latin America and Africa reached 25.25 billion yuan and 11.19 billion yuan respectively, with year-on-year growth of 11.5 percent and 22.9 percent.
