Recently, the Seismic and Vibration Damping Testing Center of Jiangsu Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., located in Xinzha Subdistrict, Zhonglou District, Changzhou, has been officially inaugurated and put into operation. The Center's core equipment—a 1,200-ton static and dynamic integrated testing platform for dampers, independently developed by the company—was also launched simultaneously. This marks a major breakthrough in China's key testing capabilities for seismic and vibration damping of large-scale equipment, filling a domestic gap in the testing capacity for ultra-high-tonnage dampers.

The 1,200-ton testing platform, now in operation, is the largest-tonnage static and dynamic integrated test bench in the power industry, boasting industry-leading testing capabilities. The platform meets the full-process, high-precision testing requirements for dampers used in key energy equipment such as large power generation equipment and power transmission and transformation facilities. It fundamentally resolves the critical bottleneck where such core components either relied on overseas testing or could not be fully validated, laying a solid foundation for enhancing the reliability and safety of China's independently developed high-end equipment.

In the next step, the Seismic and Vibration Damping Testing Center will focus on technology R&D and experimental testing of dampers for large equipment, fostering collaborative innovation among upstream and downstream enterprises, and strengthening the resilience and safety of the entire industry.
