On August 29, an academic seminar commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held at the Municipal Administrative Center.

Organized by the Changzhou New Fourth Army History Research Association and other institutions, the seminar aimed to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on Party history and the history of the New China, review the glorious journey of the past, carry forward the red heritage, and consolidate the spirit of progress. Experts and scholars from the Changzhou New Fourth Army History Research Association, the publicity system, the social sciences community, Marxism colleges in local universities, and Party schools at various levels, along with media representatives, gathered to engage in academic exchanges and intellectual dialogue.

The seminar systematically reviewed Changzhou's contributions and role in wartime history, showcased recent academic achievements by the Changzhou New Fourth Army History Research Association, and strengthened interactions among government agencies, universities, memorial venues, and research organizations. It deepened understanding of the great spirit of the War of Resistance and is expected to further promote the protection, study, and dissemination of Changzhou's red cultural resources, gathering greater spiritual strength for the new journey ahead.
