Changzhou strengthened cultural industry ties with Hangzhou during a May 21 promotion conference in Binjiang district. Chen Zhiliang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and head of its Publicity Department, represented Changzhou at the event.
The conference presented Changzhou's cultural advantages through urban development updates and Wujin district investment opportunities. Key initiatives announced included West Taihu Lake's micro-drama development policy and a new 500-million-yuan cultural industry fund.
Participants witnessed the signing of 15 cooperation projects, including the Global Theater Project, a multimedia exhibition hall for the masterpiece "A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains", and the "Travel with Micro-Dramas" tourism campaign designed to promote Changzhou's cultural destinations.
Backed by two national-level and eight provincial-level cultural parks, Changzhou's "Culture+" strategy has cultivated six distinctive cultural industry clusters among its 30,000+ cultural enterprises. Wujin district's "5+1" industrial matrix continues driving successful IP projects like the Taihu Bay Music Festival, West Taihu Lake Half Marathon, and Visual China collaborations.
The event not only highlighted Changzhou's cultural achievements but also established a new framework for regional cooperation, integrating Changzhou's cultural resources with Hangzhou's digital economy capabilities in the Yangtze River Delta region.
