March 11 marks the anniversary of the founding of STO Express. On the morning of March 11, the Jiangsu Regional Headquarters of STO Express—designated as a major provincial project for 2026—officially broke ground in Changzhou. The project will provide strong support for Changzhou to better serve and integrate into Jiangsu's overall development strategy and to strive for designation as a national logistics hub for production services.
Zhou Wei, Mayor of Changzhou, Wang Wenbin, Vice Chairman of STO Express Co., Ltd., and Yu Lunyun, Vice President of the company, among others, attended the event.
The STO Express Jiangsu Regional Headquarters Project is located in the Tianning High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total investment of RMB 3 billion. It will integrate a range of functions, including intelligent sorting, cloud-based warehousing management, big data operations, and e-commerce services, and is expected to create more than 2,000 new jobs.
The project will deliver more comprehensive express delivery services and stronger industrial chain support for Changzhou and surrounding areas, while attracting upstream and downstream enterprises to cluster more rapidly. It will also promote the deep integration of the headquarters economy, platform economy, and digital economy, providing higher-quality logistics support for industries such as e-commerce and advanced manufacturing.
Founded in 1993, STO Express is China's first private express delivery company and a national 5A-level logistics enterprise. It pioneered the franchise-based business model in the express delivery industry. Its service network now covers the entire country, with more than 5,000 independently operated outlets and branch companies, as well as 89,000 service stations and retail points. By 2025, its peak daily order volume and parcel collection exceeded 100 million items, with a workforce of over 300,000 employees.
Looking ahead, STO Express will take its Jiangsu Regional Headquarters as the core, accelerating the development of a new smart logistics framework featuring "one core with multiple hubs," radiating across the province and seamlessly connecting nationwide.
