On Sept. 3, Mayor Zhou Wei met with a delegation led by Wei Lin, Deputy Managing Director of China Pacific Insurance Company (CPIC). The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation in the elderly-care industry and developing high-quality elderly-care communities.
Mayor Zhou welcomed the delegation and gave a brief overview of Changzhou's economic and social development. He said that, while continuing to drive industrial growth, Changzhou is also placing greater emphasis on improving people's well-being, particularly the quality of life of its aging population. As the city moves toward an aging society, he expressed hope that China Pacific Insurance Group will leverage its diverse business platforms and strong financial resources to bring high-quality elderly-care services and resources to Changzhou. He also noted that Changzhou has a competitive industrial base in rehabilitation equipment and smart elderly-care products, providing opportunities for the CPIC to introduce high-quality products and services that meet the needs of the elderly. For its part, Changzhou will continue to create a favorable business environment and provide strong support for the high-quality development of the elderly-care industry.
Wei Lin said that Changzhou has a strong industrial foundation and clear geographical advantages, giving it unique strengths for developing the health and elderly-care industry. Since 2019, China Pacific Life Insurance has been involved in the administration of Changzhou's long-term care insurance program, gaining extensive practical experience. The company has also independently developed a unified digital management system for the city, laying a solid foundation for the provision of elderly-care services.
Looking ahead, the company will further improve the quality and efficiency of its financial and insurance services, develop innovative service models, and make full use of Changzhou's strengths in the health and elderly-care industry. It will continue to increase investment and deepen cooperation with Changzhou in areas including life insurance, healthcare and elderly care, with a view to delivering greater results and jointly promoting the coordinated development of elderly-care services and the elderly-care industry.
