Recently, the 2025 Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Conference was held in Suzhou. Changzhou delivered an impressive performance in both platform development and scenario-based AI innovation. The West Taihu (Changzhou) International AI Community and the city's "AI+Healthcare" model for public hospitals were highlighted at the event, placing Changzhou among the top three in Jiangsu in terms of the number of featured releases.
The West Taihu (Changzhou) International AI Community was initiated by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and jointly developed under the leadership of Academician Dai Qionghai's team from Tsinghua University. It is building an innovation ecosystem featuring "four foundational infrastructure, six functional platforms, and multiple (X) intelligent application scenarios," providing strong support for the deployment and integrated development of AI applications across the city.
Changzhou First People's Hospital is among the first in the country to explore an "AI + Healthcare" model for public hospitals, integrating artificial intelligence throughout the entire clinical process—from precision diagnosis and treatment to holistic health management. Its AI-driven hospital solution received widespread recognition at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, with its demonstration effect already beginning to take shape.
In addition, the conference announced a series of major AI projects recently registered and launched across Jiangsu Province. Changzhou ranked second in the province in terms of project count, with initiatives spanning key fields such as intelligent decision-making, data annotation, and assisted driving.
The event highlighted the strong progress and vast potential of Changzhou's AI innovation efforts, injecting new momentum into the city's rise as a leading AI hub. Going forward, Changzhou will advance the targeted application of "AI+" across a wide range of real-world scenarios, accelerate the deep integration of AI with various industries and use cases, and promote iterative upgrades and scenario-based adaptation of "+AI" technologies—ensuring that artificial intelligence is effectively transformed into real productivity.
