At Jiangsu Huapeng Transformer Co., Ltd., a batch of extra-large transformers recently passed final tests for imminent shipment to Europe. The company has maintained its position as the world's top producer of single-unit transformers for consecutive years. Its 110 kV power transformers designated as a Manufacturing Industry Champion Product by MIIT boast an annual production capacity of 200 million kVA. The company's Q1 direct exports reached 740 million yuan, up 51.2 percent year-on-year.

Growing power demands from data centers and AI computing have generated bulk orders across Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia, noted Zhu Shanshan, deputy general manager of Huapeng Transformer. Overseas sales now account for over 60 percent of total revenue.

The city now hosts more than 70 transformer exporters offering comprehensive product ranges, forming a regionally competitive industrial cluster. Changzhou-manufactured transformers now power projects in over 100 countries across power generation, new energy and rail transit sectors.
