Recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration has released the list of model cities for intellectual property development from 2025 to 2027. Changzhou has been successfully selected, marking a new phase of high-quality development for the city's intellectual property work.
In recent years, anchored on the national goal of building a city with strong intellectual property capabilities, Changzhou has continuously advanced the citywide pilot and demonstration work for intellectual property. It has issued the Several Policies for Promoting the Construction of a Strong Intellectual Property City (2025–2027), taking high-quality development of intellectual property as the main focus. The city has made sustained efforts across the entire chain of creation, application, protection, and service, establishing a comprehensive, multi-tiered ecosystem for intellectual property development. This has laid a solid foundation for its designation as a model city.
In the next phase, Changzhou will adhere to the requirements for model city development, advancing the demonstration initiative with higher standards and more substantial measures. The city aims to build a "Changzhou Model" for the national intellectual property strength strategy, ensuring that intellectual property becomes a core force supporting industrial upgrading and driving high-quality economic and social development. Additionally, it will contribute further to the coordinated development of intellectual property in the Yangtze River Delta region.
