The 4th Symposium on Intelligent Chassis Technology, Standards and Regulations was held in Wujin, Changzhou on June 10, where an industry research group focused on advanced standards for intelligent chassis was officially launched. Vice Mayor Xu Jun attended the event.

Under the theme “Driven by Technology, Guided by Standards, and Powered by Collaboration," the symposium explored cutting-edge technologies, real-world applications, and practical solutions, with the goal of advancing technology integration in the intelligent chassis sector through standards innovation.

As the core control hub for vehicle dynamics, the intelligent chassis connects sensing, decision-making, and actuation. It has become a critical domain for improving vehicle performance and reshaping industry competition. The new research group, established under the leadership of the CATARC Standardization Institute, will focus on emerging technologies such as chassis domain control and integrated driving units. Its work will cover technology trends, structural design, and testing and evaluation systems, all aimed at supporting the development and refinement of a comprehensive standards system for intelligent chassis.

CATARC is a leading authority in China for automotive technology R&D, standards and regulations, as well as testing and certification. Since setting up its Changzhou testing center in the Wujin National High-tech Industrial Zone in 2020, the center has steadily expanded its testing and technical service capabilities in areas such as intelligent and connected vehicles, new energy systems, and complete vehicles and components, providing solid support for corporate innovation, product upgrades, and industrial clustering.

Changzhou is now home to major industry players and high-quality projects including Li Auto, BYD, and CATL. The city's industrial cluster effect continues to strengthen. In 2025, the total output of companies above the designated size in the city's new energy vehicle (NEV) and auto parts sector approached RMB 500 billion, with annual NEV production exceeding 800,000 units. The Wujin High-tech Industrial Zone has brought together key supply chain players such as Bojun Technology, Wanbang Digital Energy, Inovance Automotive, Haosen, Faurecia, and Grammer. The zone is actively promoting localized supply chain development centered around Li Auto, with the goal of building a national-level NEV industry hub that boasts the most concentrated projects, the most complete supply chain, and the greatest influence.

Going forward, Wujin district will ramp up efforts to promote R&D, standards research, testing and validation, and application scenarios for intelligent chassis technology. It will continue to support innovation platforms, testing institutions, and high-quality enterprises, working with all partners to shape a new landscape for the development of intelligent and connected vehicles and the NEV industry.
