The National Development and Reform Commission recently unveiled its second batch of green and low-carbon advanced technology demonstration projects. Jiangsu Wanbang Integrated Energy Service, a Changzhou-based firm, made the list with its Source-Grid-Load-Storage Integration and Multi-Energy Complementary Demonstration Project.
The project utilizes advanced technologies such as digital twin, automated power control, energy information and communication, artificial intelligence, and large-scale energy management. These technologies will establish a distributed energy management platform and a virtual power plant system with coordinated source-grid-load-storage integration.
Upon completion, the project is expected to boost renewable energy consumption by approximately 36 million kWh annually. This achievement will support national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality objectives while promoting the high-quality development of renewable energy.
